All Telefónica Group companies are committed to following the following global principles that promote Health, Safety and Well-being at Work:
- Provide safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injuries and ill health, as well as a commitment to eliminate hazards and reduce risks to Occupational Health, Safety and Well-being (OHSW), all of which must be appropriate to the organisation’s purpose, size and context, and to the nature of its risks and opportunities.
- Provide a framework for establishing OHSW objectives, as well as the set of actions necessary to achieve them.
- Identify hazards and assess OHSW risks, establishing and prioritising control measures in order to prevent workplace incidents and occupational diseases.
- Ensure compliance with the legal requirements and other obligations that the Organisation subscribes to in matters of OHSW in each country, adopting them in a complementary manner and in accordance with the principle of prevention, based on internal regulations or international standards.
- Define strategies that promote a culture of prevention, well-being and health at all levels of the Organisation, based on self-care and respect for the Safety and Health of workers.
- Apply continuous improvement principles in OHSW management through the systematic evaluation of performance using Management System indicators and results.
- Promote best practices in Occupational Health, Safety and Well-being within our supply chain and among our partners.
- Communicate our OHSW performance regularly and transparently to employees and stakeholders, while also addressing their concerns and questions.
- Promote information, participation and consultation of workers and other stakeholders throughout the entire OHSW management cycle in order to ensure safe and healthy working environments.
